InTechnology completes NHS accreditation ahead of time

Cloud and services player flies through stringent accreditation process early to steal a march on rivals

InTechnology is celebrating after achieving a major NHS accreditation months ahead of schedule.

The Harrogate-based firm achieved the Information Governance Statement of Compliance (IG SoC) accreditation seven months ahead of deadline. This allowed it to steal a march on its rivals on the NHS N3 National network, which provides secure connectivity access and technology services to the NHS and connected organisations.

Becoming eligible for IG SoC means a stringent process covering four specific areas: information governance management, confidentiality and data protection assurance, information security assurance and an overall assessment.

InTechnology – which scored 100 per cent in all four areas – has maintained its credentials with N3 since 2005 and has been the first to complete its IG SoC every year for the past four years.

Mark Hall, divisional director for healthcare solutions at InTechnology, said: “It is a fantastic achievement to be the first cloud service provider to achieve the latest IG SoC accreditation. This is a key milestone for InTechnology as it will bring further business growth opportunities for us within the NHS and healthcare sector.

“We maintain an extremely proactive approach to maintaining our credentials as we place a very high value on being a part of the N3 network.”
