Micro-P welcomes 11 new graduates
Distie hopes new sales staff will inject energy into its sales force
A handful of university leavers has joined Micro-P in an effort to spice up its sales team.
The graduates have joined the distributor's Sales Graduate Programme and will inject new energy, ideas and perspectives into the sales force, Micro-P claimed.
The new starters will deal with a broad range of vendors and ensure their messages are taken out to partners, and the group will be trained in all areas of the business.
Sales and product training, marketing, negotiating skills, client and account management and finance and sales negotiations will all form part of the training received by the newcomers, who will report to newly appointed sales manager Jason Birt.
Micro-P's human resources director Nick Foster said the graduate scheme was a big investment for the company.
"The growth we have experienced over the past few years has allowed us to continually promote and develop staff internally and we really feel that recruiting high-potential graduates will complement our existing recruitment sources," he said.
"We enjoy industry-low attrition rates and know that we can provide a structured, rewarding, long-term career for high-potential candidates across the business, hence the introduction of the programme. [It] is a major investment by us on behalf of our vendors and customers."
