Avnet Embedded launches image services portfolio

VARs to be provided with seven services around embedded images

Avnet has launched a range of new embedded software services for its system builder partners across EMEA.

The services will be provided via Avnet Embedded, an autonomous subsidiary of the distribution giant's components-focused Electronics Marketing division. The unit is unveiling a septet of new services, including a development kit created by the distributor that allows users to build and test images for Windows embedded licensing.

A generic training offering for those wishing to gain an overview of Windows embedded image creation is also being launched, alongside programmes more geared towards specific topics or customer needs. An Image Solution Kit containing guides, drivers, sample images and other tools is also offered, as is an onsite audit service provided by an engineer. Avnet Embedded will also be providing an image creation offering, as well as installation and production services.
