Channelfusion cosies up to Infrascale

Vendor signs up distie newcomer to push its cloud-based file sync product

Start-up distie channelfusion has signed up with storage vendor Infrascale in a move the duo hopes will help resellers to cash in on what it claims is the rapidly growing file sync and share market.

Channelfusion - set up this year by former Avnet man Bruce Hockin - will offer its partners Infrascale's FileLocker file sync and share product, an offering it describes as being built around "military-grade security standards".

The product - which will be sold on a per-user basis - allows files to be encrypted in Infrascale's cloud or private cloud and at the end-point.

The vendor's chief executive Ken Shaw said the new partnership was good for the channel.

"We're pleased to be added to channelfusion's portfolio of best-in class software and solutions which they offer their partners," he said. "Their partners are ideally placed to capitalise on the growing demand for encrypted file sync and share technology in industries that require high security, such as government, healthcare, and finance."

Channelfusion director Grant Reddin said: "Together we now offer cloud service providers, system integrators and channel partners the ability to add valuable services that quickly deliver high-margin, annuity-based revenues."
