Antill takes over the reins at Intrinsic

Former Appsense boss becomes the firm's third boss in less than two years

Former Appsense boss Darron Antill has taken over as chief executive of Intrinsic as the VAR reshuffles its top-management team.

Antill began work at the Haydock-headquartered firm on Monday and takes over from former chief executive Adam Jarvis, who has gone back to his role of sales and commercial director, a job he held since 2005 before taking the top job last summer.

Antill (pictured) and Jarvis form the new-look senior management team alongside chief financial officer Rachael Nevins and chief technology officer Steve Browell.

Prior to Jarvis' stint at the top, Mike Mason was the VAR's chief executive until last January – meaning Antill will be the firm's third boss in less than two years.

Antill joins from Appsense and was succeeded by Scott Arnold who today set out his plan for the company. At the time Antill departed the virtualisation vendor, sources suggested a $70m (£43.7m) cash injection from Goldman Sachs fuelled the management rejig.

In his new role, Antill said he plans to help Intrinsic become a cloud leader.

"We will continue to invest in and extend our managed and cloud-based services offering, as well as growing our geographic footprint in the UK market," he said.

"With our new management team in place we have the skills, the ambition and the knowledge we need to become a UK cloud and managed services leader, and extend our services from our 24/7 service operations centre."

Antill added his thanks to Jarvis and said his leadership had made the business stronger.
