Ultra AEP hands Infinigate keys to full product portfolio

Vendor looks to up its channel presence by handing all of its products over to the distie

Security vendor Ultra Electronics AEP is looking to boost the number of resellers it has in the UK by handing over all of its products to distributor Infinigate.

The duo had a long-standing partnership in which the distie pushed some of its products out to the channel, while others were sold through a single-tier model direct to resellers.

A new contract signed by the pair will see Infinigate gain access to all of the vendor's products including its Bmac and Ultra Encrypt offerings.

Ultra AEP hopes Infinigate will sell its wares to its existing base of resellers as well as with new ones as it looks to strengthen its channel businesses.

Alex Teh, joint managing director of Infinigate, said the enhanced agreement will benefit its resellers.

"With this new agreement, our aim is to promote greater commitment from partners delivering Ultra AEP's solutions, with more transparency of projects in the current market, along with improved margins," he said.

"We're confident we have the right combination of specialist expertise and market-making experience to deliver on these aims and to support AEP as it expands its channel presence in the UK and, ultimately, across Europe."

Ultra AEP's worldwide partner director Daryl Hyett said the extended partnership marks the start of a renewed channel focus and strategic direction.
