Atlantis signs up Azlan to accelerate UK channel growth
Virtualised storage vendor Atlantis hopes to win over new VARs with new distie ally
Storage vendor Atlantis is hoping a new distribution deal with Azlan will help further propel its reach in the UK market.
The California-headquartered firm - which has regional offices in the UK and Australia - provides technology which it claims changes the way virtual machines consume storage at the same time as increasing performance and cutting costs.
The vendor already works with about 20 resellers in the UK including SCC, Kelway and Block Solutions - and about another 30 more across EMEA - but aims to rapidly boost its VAR reach with Azlan's help.
It claims its technology will strengthen Azlan's desktop virtualisation and software-defined storage portfolio while it takes advantage of the Tech Data-owned firm's market reach.
Atlantis' vice president for northern Europe sales, David Cumberworth, said the new deal was established as it could no longer manage its resellers alone.
"Our network of VARs and our end-user base had been steadily expanding and it was time to bring on board a distributor to manage this fast growing base," he said. "Azlan is an ideal distribution partner since they have deep technical aptitude with critical virtualisation and storage solutions that Atlantis Computing supports, and extensive reach with the UK reseller community."
