Outsourcery gets to Business with London university

Cloud provider supplies London Business School with Microsoft-based phone-replacement technology

Outsourcery has taken the London Business School (LBS) into the cloud after signing a deal to replace its former legacy telephone system.

The cloud provider clinched the deal after a competitive tender process, and has since designed the replacement technology which is based on Microsoft's Office 365 and Lync 2013 products.

It claims the solution it is taking to LBS is the first in the country to integrate the two Microsoft offerings for enterprise voice and conferencing enablement, and said it will allow staff and students to more easily collaborate.

LBS, which is a graduate college of the University of London, hopes the new technology will help attract new staff and students.

Piers Linney, Outsourcery's co-chief executive, said the LBS deal is an important win for his company.

"The solution will enable LBS to adopt the latest unified communications and messaging technologies fully integrated with Office 365," he said. "It will add real value to their learning environment and courses, creating a more attractive environment for staff and students.

"This high-profile win and the innovative solution design for LBS is further endorsement of Outsourcery's market-leading capabilities."
