VXL and Intec buddy up on thin clients

Duo claim to be perfectly placed to take advantage of growing market

Thin-client vendor VXL Instruments has signed up with distie Intec Microsystems in a bid to expand its reach into the channel.

The global manufacturer, which has a UK base in Manchester, is handing Intec access to its full thin-client portfolio in an effort to expand its footprint in the cloud market.

VXL works entirely through the channel, and its global vice president for worldwide sales Frank Noon said that Intec was chosen partly for its pan-European reach.

"[Our] continued investment in leading-edge technology is paying off and we are seeing significant growth, particularly for our new zero-client and desktop ranges," he said.

"Intec's substantial expertise as a leading, pan-European IT hardware distributor means that together we are perfectly placed to take advantage of the current growth in the use of thin-client and cloud connectivity technology."

Intec said the thin-client market is booming and that the addition of VXL will be well received by its resellers.

"VXL's pricing, product performance and quality make them a highly competitive brand and this addition to our portfolio is not only a significant enhancement to our range, but means we are committed to providing the widest range of solutions to all our customers," said Dean Leather, Intec's managing director.

"[We] see great growth potential in the thin-client market and combined with our own existing market expertise represents an outstanding opportunity for the company."
