Softcat goes west and recruits for new Bristol office
Reseller welcomes in handful of new recruits, of whom six will join new South West branch
Reseller Softcat has welcomed yet another influx of new starters, six of whom will begin work in its new Bristol base.
The firm's managing director Colin Brown told CRN earlier this year that the company was considering opening another regional office in the South West, to complement its bases in Manchester and London and its headquarters in Marlow. The Bristol office is set to open at the end of January 2014.
The reseller has welcomed in 29 new employees across its corporate, public sector, sales, support, credit and customer service teams across the country – six of which will begin work in the new Bristol office. In this financial year alone, Softcat has opened the door to 120 new recruits, taking its total headcount past the 600 mark.
Revenue at Softcat boomed 30 per cent in its last financial year and Brown said the new recruits have been brought in to support further growth.
"It is important to recruit regularly as Softcat does – not only to support our business growth but also to keep the workforce fresh, stimulated and in a continual state of development," he said.
"We can often learn as much from our employees as they learn from the company, and by continually injecting fresh blood into our system, we're enriching our learning culture."
