K3 sets up global hosting division

Cloud and managed services offering delivered through 300 datacentres

K3 Business Technology Group has announced a consultancy division that will focus on deployment and management of cloud services worldwide.

According to a company statement, the new division, K3 Hosting, is a response to "overwhelming" demand for cloud services across various verticals.

Ed Renwick, director of the new division (pictured, right), will lead 70 staff in a bid to target customers in retail, manufacturing, finance and government in particular.

"For many organisations, maintaining an IT infrastructure can be a difficult task that takes resources away from their main focus - that's why cloud services are in demand," he said.

"We have seen interest in our own cloud provision increase significantly over the past few years. That is why we are launching K3 Hosting and our own IaaS offering."

K3 Hosting will benefit from the services of 300 datacentres around the world, the company said. Further products and services will be developed to build up a broad portfolio of cloud and managed service support.
