JMC IT cements partnership with law firm

VAR celebrates successful contract renewal in the face of stiff competition

VAR JMC IT has won back a £600,000 piece of business with law firm Stephensons Solicitors LLP, despite being an incumbent supplier for 10 years.

The deal includes a complete IT system upgrade and multi-year support contract for the Manchester-based firm.

Tim Maxwell, business development director at JMC, said: "Despite working with Stephensons for over 10 years as their incumbent supplier, we treated this like a brand new project, closely scrutinising how we could best answer their current and future needs.

"As a result, we created a highly resilient, agile solution that includes the latest innovations in disaster recovery that means the firm can continue delivering a superior service to its clients."

Andrew Welch, managing partner at Stephensons, added: "JMC had to prove a real return on investment during the competitive tender process, but showed agility in creating a solution that exceeded our expectations.

"Having worked with JMC for more than 10 years, we were confident in its ability to deliver and we look forward to continuing our mutually beneficial relationship for years to come."

In separate news, JMC celebrated a successful event in the form of its annual IT Strategy Briefing at Manchester's Concorde Conference Centre earlier this month.

More than 200 IT professionals attended the event and were treated to a keynote from Microsoft's head of technology for partners James Akrigg and product demonstrations from a range of partners including Dell, Symantec, Citrix and Metronet.

The firm is planning another event in November 2014 at the same venue.
