NGD eyes 20 recruits for first channel scheme
Datacentre operator unveils formalised three-tier scheme after successful trial last year
Datacentre operator Next Generation Data (NGD) is looking to recruit up to 20 VARs to its first ever formalised channel scheme.
The firm's prosaically named Channel Partner Programme will have three tiers and VARs can expect to benefit from "well above industry norm margins", according to NGD. The company, which operates a datacentre near Newport and an office in Richmond, also promises partners lead generation and pre-sales support, as well as co-marketing and sales activity, engineering support and the use of swishy meeting and conference facilities. VARs will be able to access technical, sales and marketing resources through an online portal.
The vendor ran an indirect sales pilot last year, after reportedly receiving requests from resellers and service providers wishing to make use of its datacentre to deliver cloud and other as-a-service offerings. NGD head of channel Lee Cauchie revealed that he wishes to sign up between 15 and 20 resellers over the next year or so.
"Based on the learning experience and investment made in supporting our first channel customers, we are now satisfied that our channel business strategy is fully proven and ready to roll out to the wider market," he added.
