Brits place well in list of high-growth tech firms
Avecto, Monitise and RandomStorm among the 71 UK firms to make Deloitte rankings
Privilege management vendor Avecto and Morse spin-off Monitise are among the UK outfits ranked in the upper echelons of a list of EMEA's fast-growing tech firms.
Deloitte's Technology Fast 500 EMEA ranks the fastest-growing public and private tech, media, telco, life sciences and clean tech firms in EMEA based on percentage revenue growth over a five-year period.
France led the way with 86 winning companies, although the UK was next in the pecking order with 71 representatives in the list, compared with just 28 in Germany.
The fastest-growing UK outfit, real-time advertising specialist Infectious Media, finished sixth overall on the back of 9,774 per cent growth.
Manchester-based Windows privilege management vendor Avecto was the second-fastest growing UK firm after its sales swelled by 4,731 per cent, thrusting it into 23rd place overall. Morse spin-off Monitise finished 64th overall following a 2,319 per cent growth spurt.
Yorkshire-based network vulnerability management and compliance vendor RandomStorm ranked 130th overall and 21st in the UK after its sales ballooned more than tenfold between 2009 and 2013.
"This award will help us to continue attracting people of the highest calibre as we take our business to the next level," said RandomStorm co-founder Andrew Mason.
The overall rankings were topped by French digital cinema specialists YMagis after sales bulged 59,096 over five years. France topped the standings for the fourth successive year, with the UK, Netherlands, Sweden and Norway rounding out the top five. Israel finished ninth with 20 representatives.
This year's list, which garnered more than 1,000 submissions, had an overall average revenue growth rate of 1,403 per cent, slightly down from the 1,549 per cent rate for 2012.
