Shift F7 appoints new managing director
Nigel Lomas moves up to hot seat from previous commercial director position as VAR consolidates management team
Nigel Lomas has been appointed managing director of Shift F7 as the firm positions itself for further growth.
Lomas became the commercial director at the firm in 2006 and has been working as acting managing director for the past 16 months, including a prominent role in the firm's acquisition of Datashare Solutions (DSL) in May.
Garry King, chief executive of the Shift F7 Group, which recently celebrated its best-ever trading month in October, said: "Nigel has more than proved his value to Shift F7 and its clients over the time I have worked with him.
"He has been supporting me as the acting managing director over the past 16 months, and there has never been any doubt that Shift F7 has been in very safe hands.
"With his role as managing director formalised, I am sure that Nigel will continue to grow the company and be a positive advocate for the group and its future success."
In a statement, Lomas said: "Since I joined the company in 2006 I have seen it transition from being a local IT reseller into a corporate IT provider, supplying products and services not only in the UK but also into Europe.
"I am very excited to be part of a growing group of companies and hopefully I can be instrumental in ensuring the future growth and profitability of Shift F7."
