BNP Paribas channel finance moves to Bristol

All retail finance operations to be under one roof from January

IT channel finance at BNP Paribas Leasing is upping sticks in Basingstoke for relocation in Bristol in the new year.

According to a spokeswoman for BNP Paribas Leasing, it will now live under the same roof with other retail finance operations, including the telecoms and office equipment parts of the business.

"Over the past 18 months we have developed a range of finance solutions that we believe are market-leading for telco and office equipment – for example the financing of software, soft costs, implementation and consultancy," she said.

"Based on our market research, we believe there is unfulfilled demand for these products in IT, especially for partners seeking to transition to a managed services model."

The Bristol office already plays host to relevant expertise around managed services financing for print and telecoms.

"In the Bristol team we now have dedicated technology marketing and partner training teams that can be deployed to support partner-specific business strategies," the spokeswoman said.

The move would improve communication between all departments as well as customer service. Technological convergence meant the move made even more sense, according to a company statement.

BNP Paribas Leasing has about 500 channel partner businesses as customers, and its technology business is growing, the spokeswoman said.
