Imaging hardware shipments up 27 per cent
Q3 figures from researcher Context find UK leading Western Europe
The UK achieved 27 per cent growth in imaging kit sales this Q3 year on year, streets ahead of other countries in Western Europe and beaten only by Algeria across EMEA.
Market analyst Context's figures revealed an overall EMEA growth rate for the category of six per cent in the quarter, compared to Q3 in 2012.
Market expansion in Western Europe was driven primarily by the UK, with Spain – achieving 12 per cent growth from a year ago – and Austria – where shipments rose 17 per cent – closest behind.
MEA saw the strongest growth of the region, with shipments up eight per cent compared to Q3 in 2012, according to Context. Algeria saw imaging hardware sales rise 37 per cent, although it is a smaller market than the UAE, which enjoyed a 26 per cent expansion.
Israel equalled the UK's 27 per cent growth score.
Unit shipments to Central and Eastern Europe were flat overall, although Hungary stood out with a sales surge of 24 per cent.
HP, comprising 40 per cent of the EMEA imaging kit market, increased sell-in levels 17 per cent, according to Context.
