Network provider Metronet hits first £1m month
Recurring revenue and expansion pay dividends at Metronet (UK)
Manchester wireless networking and connectivity services provider Metronet (UK) has achieved its first £1m month in terms of recurring revenue.
According to the company's chief executive Elliott Mueller, Metronet (UK) is on target to turn over more than £11.5m overall this financial year while doubling staff numbers to 75 and adding new services.
"This year has been fantastic. We have had strong organic growth and gone above and beyond our targets. The company is still growing every day, with plans to expand our sales and support teams," he said.
Since this time last year, the firm has expanded 46 per cent in revenue terms and extended its wireless networking coverage to St Helen's, Chester, Crewe and elsewhere. Fibre services are being delivered across the UK.
The drivers for growth included increased demand for bandwidth and connections, an increased network presence and "several large" UK-wide networking contracts, the company said.
Metronet provides services ranging from leased lines to complex multi-site MPLS, colocation and 3G connectivity for customers such as Lend Lease and the police.
