Azzurri reveals new mobile business unit
Telefonica man taken on to lead the drive for mobility sales
Managed services provider Azzurri has launched a business unit focused on mobile enterprise sales.
The new division will be spearheaded by Richard White, who has worked at BT, O2 and Telefonica, where he spent the past five years as head of financial markets and enterprise fixed services.
Vim Vithaldas (pictured), chief executive at Azzurri, said that nearly two thirds of organisations anticipate that they will be using a mobile device as their main productivity device within three years.
"Such a dramatic shift requires a radical new approach to the delivery of IT services, as the old PC-centric managed service approach no longer resonates with today's mobile workforce," Vithaldas claimed.
The unit will offer as one integrated service a range of mobile products, services and skills, including around application and document security, mobile application management, enterprise content management and file sharing.
