Calyx completes sales team restructure
Recently appointed sales director Terry Williamson leaves after overseeing changes
Calyx has hailed the completion of its sales department restructure as it waves goodbye to sales director Terry Williamson.
Former Excell Group sales director Williamson joined the firm last September to oversee the restructure of the sales department.
He replaced Clive Hallam, who joined the firm in December 2012 as part of a wholesale management shake-up at the firm, which saw current chief executive Steve Clark take the hotseat.
In a statement sent to CRN, the Better Capital-backed firm said the overhaul of the sales department was one of its "key strategic objectives" for 2014.
"Terry Williamson has now completed his role with Calyx and moves on to his next project," the statement said.
It added that the restructure will allow Calyx to achieve its growth targets for the year and has involved three key moves: the creation of four new account management teams targeted with new business development; the appointment of two new managerial positions to oversee strategic development; and the expansion of the account director team by 30 per cent.
"Williamson has also appointed a new head of marketing, and overseen the building of new partnerships with a series of high-profile vendors including hardware vendors Brocade and Juniper and telephony suppliers Shoretel and Gamma," the statement said.
"Calyx is grateful [to Terry] for the work completed and wishes him well with his next project," it concluded.
