Juniper veteran crowned EMEA channel boss
Gerard Wilson to replace David Helfer who now runs the vendor's global channel operations
Juniper has chosen a 14-year company veteran to lead its EMEA channel in a move it hopes will bolster its efforts to expand into the mobility and datacentre markets.
In his new role as vice president of partners in EMEA, Gerard Allison (pictured) will take responsibility for the management and performance of the company's partner programme across the region.
Allison will report to EMEA senior vice president Sean Dolan and replaces David Helfer who was promoted to lead its global channel organisation at the end of last year.
During his time at Juniper, Allison held a variety of roles including vice president of enterprise and UK and Ireland boss.
EMEA boss Dolan said Allison's appointment will support its efforts to enter new markets with its direct sales team.
"In 2014, with Juniper sales and partners working as one team, we will ensure our go-to-market structure remains strong and effective, particularly for our continued push into the security, mobility and data centre markets," he said.
"Gerard is leading this evolution, across the service provider and enterprise sectors in EMEA. He is a proven, trusted leader for the team."
