European Electronique concludes school project
New engineering and computer science facilities at UTC Reading ready to go
VAR European Electronique has kitted out UTC Reading's engineering design and computer science course facilities with workstations and PCs.
UTC Reading, a technical college for ages 14-19, opened in September after tendering for the design and implementation of its entire IT infrastructure, with European Electronique winning in partnership with Fujitsu.
Yolanta Gill, chief executive officer of European Electronique (pictured), said the new school is now all set to exploit technological innovation to enhance learning for its students.
"UTC Reading is now well positioned to explore with us and Fujitsu the endless possibilities that technological innovation can bring to inspire young people and prepare them for a future we can only imagine," Gill said in a PR statement.
Joanne Harper, principal at Berkshire based UTC Reading, said the deployment "ticked all boxes" to provide the latest technology for its students within the budget.
"Furthermore, they were able to work in a high quality, fast and efficient way - which was vital due to the time-critical opening of the college in September," Harper said.
