Bank of England invites VARs to cash in on £1.2m deal
Bank plans to overhaul its IT service management
The Bank of England is on the hunt for a new IT supplier to overhaul its IT service-management technology in a deal that could reach £1.2m.
The UK central bank wants a supplier to replace some aspects of its IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) including a tech toolset to accommodate incident management, service-level management and technical configuration.
On top of this, it did not rule out the chance for suppliers to implement additional services during the course of the contract.
"The bank will consider implementing additional ITIL processes as required in the future which the toolset would be expected to be able to support," it said in a tender document.
"The successful bidder will be able to demonstrate a strong experience of providing, implementing and supporting IT service-management toolsets within similar-sized organisations."
The deal is expected to last for a minimum of three years - with the possibility of two, one-year extensions - and will be worth between £700,000 and £1.2m over the period.
