Demand for Balreed print boosts turnover to £29m
VAR says managed print services and production systems are in demand
Maidstone-based printer specialist Balreed Digitec has reported a 23 per cent rise in turnover to about £29m for its 2013 year.
Gary Downey, group marketing director at Balreed, said that £5m of the revenue growth had been "organic". Underlying profitability and the quality of service delivery had also been maintained.
"We made two acquisitions in 2013, which are now fully integrated into the business. But these were in the latter half of the year so had little impact on the results," Downey said. "We will see the benefits of those next year."
The company's focus is on managed print as well as production print systems, and demand for those appeared to have risen, he indicated.
"We made major investments in all areas in 2013 to enhance our clients' experiences, and these will continue in 2014," Downey said.
