Currys support arm partners on domain packages

Knowhow teams up with registrar 123-reg on business web offering

The support division of Currys and PC World, Knowhow, has gone into bat with a domain registrar to offer domain and website services to businesses via 300 outlets.

According to the registrar, 123-reg, the partnership is a first for the company and will offer packages that bundle a range of tools to help businesses build their online presence, including .co.uk domains, email services and web development software.

Matt Mansell, group managing director of 123-reg's parent Host Europe Group, said its website and domain offerings were a good fit with Knowhow's existing portfolio of products and services.

"It will provide us with a great opportunity to reach an entirely new customer base in partnership with a leading technology retailer," Mansell said.

The packages will be available in some 300 Currys and PC World Business Centres across the country, and target smaller firms in particular.

Niall O'Keeffe, development director at Knowhow, said that the firm wanted to expand its expertise in relation to business customers.

"This partnership with 123-reg is a major leap forward in realising this," he claimed.

Other Knowhow tech support services include product setup, anti-virus and data recovery.
