Anglo-French deal aims to boost Microsoft Lync sales potential

Video Corporation, a specialist subsidiary of video comms distributor Imago, has inked a UK-France Crestron agreement around group collaboration offerings.

James Vickerage, head of Northern EMEA at Video Corporation, said customers were demanding more user control and collaboration functionality in their videoconferencing.

"Crestron RL meets this demand head on, enabling users to share content instantly and easily. Crestron RL is also unique in that it integrates all systems," he said.

The unified communications/room control offering helps extend Microsoft Lync to full-sized conference rooms, enabling groups to use the system.

It incorporates the Crestron UC Codec for Lync, HD camera, microphone, speaker bar, one or two 65in touch displays and a high-resolution 10in tabletop touchscreen. The AirMedia presentation tool will also be available as part of the deal.
