Ramsac realises services deal with renewables firm
Global renewable energy company to benefit from UK IT services in UK, Finland
Surrey services provider Ramsac is managing the IT infrastructure at the Finnish and UK offices of Element Power, a global specialist in environmentally sustainable energy technology.
Leána Dos Santos, group systems and communications manager at Element Power, was full of praise for Ramsac, adding that the channel firm has been providing it with "full IT support" since the contract was agreed in January.
"We are coming to rely on them heavily for the smooth running of our IT environment. They really have taken the stress out of IT for us with their proactive, rather than reactive, approach," she said.
"Ramsac has provided workable, cost-effective suggestions and successfully implemented these changes, leading to noticeable improvements in the functionality and performance of our IT infrastructure. In doing this, Ramsac has ensured that our infrastructure has grown one step ahead of our organisational needs."
US-based Element Power develops, buys, builds, owns and operates wind and solar power-generation facilities in 16 countries. Some 9,280MW-worth of projects are in development and it sells on a number of assets at the operating stage.
As part of the deal, Ramsac sends a consultant to Element Power's UK and Finland locations according to a prearranged schedule, checking their IT is being maintained, secured and developed as required. It also includes 24-hour remote helpdesk access.
