Northern NHS bodies team up for IT framework

About 35 resellers sought for up to £250m hardware, software and services deal

NHS authorities across the north of England have teamed up to procure up to £250m worth of IT kit on a framework on which about 35 suppliers could win a place.

The North of England Commercial Procurement Collaborative (NOECPC) comprises NHS trusts across the north as well as Clinical Commissioning Groups and ambulance, mental health and care trusts across the region.

The Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is leading the procurement for a range of IT equipment including services, internet, consulting, software and hardware, according to a recently published contract notice.

The framework – which is set to be worth between £20m and £250m – will last for three years and is split into five lots: server and storage hardware, network infrastructure hardware and maintenance, IT infrastructure design and delivery, colocation hosting and infrastructure consultancy.
