Logicalis grabs Fujitsu exec Aston to lead services push
Integrator recruits 25-year industry veteran to grow services arm
Logicalis has nabbed Fujitsu exec Richard Aston to spearhead its services operation.
Aston has been appointed as the integrator's vice president of services and been tasked with continuing to drive growth of the firm's services business. He joins after five years at Fujitsu, where he most recently served as head of solutions and architecture. He will report into UK managing director Mark Starkey.
"I am very excited to have the opportunity to leverage my experience developing strategy and delivering high-quality, effective operations," said Aston. "I look forward to working with my fellow members of the senior management team to grow this important part of the business."
Logicalis is in the process of bringing all its services offerings under a single trademarked brand: Optimal. The IBM, Cisco, and HP partner's services business currently employs almost 400 people in this country.
Starkey said: "Globally, as Logicalis looks to standardise its services to provide customers with a common experience and single point of engagement through its Optimal services framework, Logicalis in the UK is committed to ensuring its teams consist of the industry's most capable service professionals. We believe Richard is a shining example of this in the industry."
