Changes afoot at Dell EMEA Software division

Andy Zollo announced as new EMEA director of channels and alliances, and extra rebates and training opportunities offered to software partners

Dell is offering its Premier partners in EMEA the chance to claim a two per cent rebate on software sales.

The rebates are through earned competencies, including sales within the four software competencies of security, information management, data protection and systems management.

And in response to growing demand for software solutions, Dell PartnerDirect has expanded its training to include 47 courses for software partners within its four competencies.

Andy Zollo (pictured), former vice president of SonicWall before it was acquired by Dell, has been announced as the new director of channels and alliances EMEA.

His role will be to manage channel sales within the Dell Software Group portfolio and lead the growth of the partner sales organisation and Dell Software within the overall PartnerDirect channel scheme.

Zollo said in a statement: "We have worked very hard to integrate software into the PartnerDirect programme with an eye for enabling partners to sell Dell's end-to-end solution offering.

"The software enhancement enables partners to build expertise around complementary offerings and helps them to increase share of wallet with their customers. Feedback from partners has been extremely positive and we continue to see more partners getting involved, further developing Dell's channel growth in EMEA."

Laurent Binetti, general manager, EMEA channel sales at Dell, added: "Andy provides strong leadership to support the growth of software within PartnerDirect in EMEA.

"We are consistently looking at how we can work with partners to deliver the best possible portfolio of solutions and the thoughtful inclusion of software in the programme does just this. Our focus continues to be helping partners to be successful and to meet their increasingly complex demands."
