Enta-Vision deal to step up the Fujitsu opportunity

Portfolio gaps addressed with flagship Double-Take product

Vision Solutions availability, replication and migration apps are set to complement Fujitsu-based server and storage offerings as a result of a deal with Entatech.

Dominic Hoskins, software licensing channel manager at Enta, said the new distribution deal with Vision – which would focus on the Double-Take products for Windows and Linux platforms – would enable it to boost its Fujitsu and Microsoft sales.

"These products have a long-established track record of reducing downtime, whether for high availability, disaster recovery or during migration, and they will help us to fill potential gaps within our partners' portfolios," he said.

Resellers should watch out for value-added bundles from Enta that combine all three brands and target corporate customers, Hoskins added.

Ian Masters (pictured), sales director for Northern Europe at Vision Solutions, said Enta is one of the largest distributors of Fujitsu servers and storage. Prospects for the pair include "any organisation" aiming either to protect an existing virtualised environment or set up a cloud platform.

"Our aim is to help customers migrate, protect and recover their data. This partnership will extend those opportunities to a new group of companies in future, particularly in the public sector where Entatech and Fujitsu are currently successful," Masters said.
