Snow swaps UK bosses
Andy Joeres starts work immediately as Mark Flynn leaves the firm
Snow Software has waved off UK boss Mark Flynn as it welcomes in a new leader to drive the firm in the next stage of its growth.
In a letter sent to partners yesterday afternoon, the SAM vendor said Flynn would be replaced by Andy Joeres – former sales and marketing boss at software firm Rapide Communication and self-professed turnaround specialist.
Joeres will start work today at Snow's Bracknell office in his new role as regional business manager and Flynn will leave with immediate effect.
On his LinkedIn page, Joeres says he specialises in business transformation. Under a ‘specialisms' heading he claims to have an "aptitude to evaluate and assess a business and then develop appropriate and workable plans for transformation, improvement and growth".
But Snow's chief executive Axel Kling insisted Joeres was picked based on his experience with software as his company enters the next stage of its growth.
"I don't know what [he] posted on his LinkedIn page but the reason why I think Andy is the guy to lead us to the next phase is his experience at fast-growing companies," he said.
"Mark has done a great job since he's been here and [has built] a strong foundation. Right now we are going through a general change in the whole company in terms of new functionality and investment in our offerings, and we felt that [as] the company is in a different position, that [it] requires different skills and experiences.
"I wouldn't say there is something that needs to be fixed, it's just the natural development of the company."
Kling added that the firm's average growth over the past five years is about 62 per cent, a figure he wants to maintain in the coming years through its growing channel.
"I am very pleased with the situation in the UK [channel]," he said. "We have dedicated partners and from my perspective the relationship is very, very solid based on a mutual business we have done together."
