Dell puts Holmes on the case as channel boss disappears
Chris Sherry exits Dell after just five months helming UK channel team
Dell has handed company veteran Steven Holmes the reins of its UK channel business following the departure of Chris Sherry after just five months in the role.
Sherry is leaving to "pursue opportunities outside Dell" having only taken over the UK sales director role from Mark Hiley in November, the vendor confirmed.
In his role as UK director of channel and managed service provider, Sherry led a team of 16 channel development managers.
Dell confirmed he will be replaced by Holmes, who has been with Dell since 1996, most recently in the role of director of enterprise solutions (UK channel).
Stuart Rae, managing director of Dell partner Nviron, said most of the personnel changes Dell is making have been positive.
"As long as they don't change the people on the ground too often, we can cope with the senior management changes that are going on," he said.
