Bose aims to make big noise in the channel
AV vendor breaks into the channel for first time with ASM
AV vendor Bose is opening up to the channel for the first time after signing up distie ASM Technologies.
The audio systems vendor has never worked with resellers before in the UK and Ireland, but hopes its latest distributor signing will allow it to snap up customers searching to complement their existing video capabilities with its audio offerings.
As part of the agreement, ASM will have access to Bose's IT-related audio lines such as Bluetooth speakers, headsets and noise-cancelling headphones. The distie said it expects particular traction from customers looking to enhance audio in reception areas and boardrooms.
Stephen Dale, channel manager at ASM, said audio is an essential consideration for customers dipping their toe into video for the first time.
"With video adoption on the rise in boardrooms, offices, hotels, shops and classrooms, organisations everywhere are taking advantage of the improved productivity, greater flexibility and enhanced customer experience that video can provide," he said. "But video is only half the experience. By pairing this video investment with the highest-quality audio, organisations can ensure they get the most return from their AV investment."
ASM will receive specialist product training as part of its Bose partnership, according to the vendor's professional systems divisional manager Simon Holley.
"ASM Technologies was chosen to join our European Pro Partner network because of the similar business ethos to Bose and its commitment to quality," he said. "[It] will receive regular, specialist product training and access to a wide range of tools and technologies in return for its commitment to the brand, and we look forward to developing the relationship."
