Datashare Solutions unwraps new datacentre
Chessington facility built for speed and security
Backup services provider Datashare Solutions has relocated its datacentre to a new, purpose-built site in Chessington, Surrey.
John Eady, managing director of Datashare Solutions, said he was really happy with the new location – although it is understood that the head office and admin functions will be based in Dorking.
"We have found the right location to offer our customers the best service for the future as well as enabling us to maintain and improve on our levels of security and operational support. This move also allows us to expand our product portfolio," Eady said.
Datashare, founded in 2000, was bought out by Shift F7 in 2012.
The Chessington datacentre has five halls totalling about 1,000 square metres, offering 18MVA of dual 33kV supplies, including sub-station access and three 2,000kVA standby generators per data hall.
On-site network operations include around-the-clock monitoring and tight security.
