Acquisitive VAR Elitetele.com pounces on rival

Mitel, Avaya and Vodafone partner Qualitel Voice & Data is Elitele.com's eighth conquest since 2008

Consolidation of the comms channel continues apace with news that unified communications VAR Elitetele.com has made its second acquisition this year.

Elitetele.com announced today that is has bought Qualitel Voice & Data in a move that adds £4m to its top line and bolsters its Vodafone business.

This comes on the heels of its acquisition of Modern Communications in January and is its tenth acquisition since 2008.

"The acquisition of Qualitel was of particular interest to us because of its great customer base and strong mobile offering including workflow applications, which we see as a huge growth area," said Matt Newing, who founded Elitetele.com in 2000.

"This is our second acquisition of a premium Vodafone partner, strengthening our mobile offering to business clients and reinforcing our significance to the mobile networks."

Founded in 2000, Stoke-based Qualitel is an Avaya, Mitel and hosted connectivity specialist. It has 20 staff and more than 600 customers.

The move will mean Elitetele.com, which according to its website has 95 staff, boasts offices in the north, south and the Midlands.
