Bumper quarter for Bechtle as profits rise by nearly half
Reseller claims consistent growth across its divisions
Reseller Bechtle enjoyed a solid performance across its business as it unveiled first-quarter profit which rocketed annually by almost half.
A breakdown of the German firm's full financial results for the quarter will be unveiled next month in the form of an interim report, but it revealed some key information today.
For the three months to 31 March, profit before tax across the Bechtle Group reached €20m (£16.45m), up 45 per cent on the previous year, on revenue which jumped 14 per cent to €586m over the same period.
The firm said the sales surge was spread across both its German and foreign businesses but said its local system house arm was responsible for the lion's share of the profit spike.
Last December the company signed a $115m megadeal alongside IBM to supply servers and services to the European Commission which will see the duo deliver thousands of systems to all of the Union's member states over a two-year period.
