Matthews out, Ansell in at HP's UK Enterprise Group
Former Networking boss to take over the reins as indirect director
HP has crowned its former networking business boss Johnny Ansell as head of its UK Enterprise Group's Indirect arm as former leader Kevin Matthews moves on to a new role.
Matthews (pictured) has led the indirect business for five years and will now move on to an as-yet-unconfirmed role within the business.
Ansell has worked at the vendor for 15 years, with the past eight being in senior roles within its finance, retail, manufacturing and public sector businesses. Most recently he led the firm's networking business for more than two years.
HP's UK managing director Andy Isherwood said Ansell was appointed to the role of indirect director for the Enterprise Group to follow on from Matthews' growth success.
"In order to drive our business forward, it's important that we embrace development, diversity and change," he said.
"Kevin Matthews and the team have been outstanding, driving continuous growth and evolving our models to meet the needs of the business. Kevin has led the Enterprise Group Indirect business in the UK for over five years and achieved some truly great things: the growth, the relationships and the innovation have been second to none.
"Kevin's new HP role will leverage his skills and experience in a key part of our business and will be announced in due course, once we have fully transitioned the channel business to the new leader."
