Cisco adds Azlan to Meraki distie roster
Azlan joins Ingram, Comstor and Cloud Distribution
Azlan has sealed a deal to distribute Meraki kit in a move which sees the recently acquired wireless LAN vendor aligned to all its owner Cisco's distie partners.
Meraki was acquired by Cisco back in 2012 and since then signed up with Cisco broadliners Ingram Micro and Comstor to work alongside its original partner Cloud Distribution. Meraki's other pre-acquisition distributor, Zycko, was axed during the rejig.
The Azlan-Meraki partnership extends the availability of products in the distributor's Cisco Cloud Networking Group across the EMEAR region.
Cisco claims the move to sign up Azlan will signal a marketing drive across the channel.
"Cisco and its channel partners are uniquely qualified to empower customers to optimise the full cloud experience, and we will be working with Azlan to increase levels of awareness within the value-added reseller community and drive sales growth," said Philip Wright, Cisco's director of EMEAR distribution.
"Azlan's extensive experience of working with Cisco and introducing new technologies to the channel makes it ideally placed to help partners maximise the potential of the cloud opportunity and deliver a proven cloud-managed networking solution to customers."
Cloud Distribution's managing director Scott Dobson said he feels there will be more than enough Meraki business to go around the UK channel.
"We are still growing [our Meraki business]," he said. "We are still working together and I'm sure Azlan will grow the business for Meraki without impacting on ours."
