Appsense raises the bar with new Platinum tier
Virtualisation vendor aims to reward most committed partners with new badge
Appsense is hoping to reward its biggest-selling partners by introducing a new top-level Platinum tier to its partner programme in EMEA.
The virtualisation vendor's programme currently only has Silver and Gold levels at the moment, along with a separate Trusted Advisor badge for those which don't necessarily resell its wares but offer consultancy around its tech instead.
A number of US partners have achieved Platinum status already as it was introduced there earlier on this year.
Although the Platinum tier is currently available in EMEA, no companies have achieved the new level yet, but Appsense has its eye on which of its 70 Gold partners it hopes will take a step up its accreditation ladder.
The company claims to have reinvigorated its channel efforts over the last few months after its new EMEA channel boss Remco Postma took over the reins in March.
Postma said the new tier is designed to encourage closer partnerships with its best-performing partners.
"We've seen significant growth in some partners with Appsense-related revenue and we want to be able to reward those partners in terms of their commitment to Appsense and in return we want to give something back to them," he said.
"We want to support them and help them get closer to us. That is translated into better incremental support and margin and those kind of things. We've seen some good success in the US and are hoping to replicate that in EMEA too."
