LG appoints Actual Virtual to spread VDI word
Vendor giant partners with specialised UK distributor
LG hopes to bolster its standing in the virtual desktop channel with the appointment of specialist distributor Actual Virtual.
The Letchworth-based distie has been tasked with providing the UK reseller community with the Korean vendor's cloud-based standalone devices and all-in-one monitors. Actual Virtual will be holding up to £100,000 of stock at all times, as well as offering white-label implementation services and post-sales support.
Nigel Roberts, senior sales manager at LG, said: "Actual Virtual showed us the hunger and passion, coupled with the specialist expertise and understanding that we were looking for to capitalise on this exciting, fast-growing market."
Founded last year, the distributor focuses solely on virtual desktop and related products, and its other vendor partners are NComputing, Atrust, and Userful. Managing director Simon Greer claimed its latest partnership was another feather in its cap.
"Our sole focus on the distribution of breakthrough desktop virtualisation products and specialist cloud services offers resellers the opportunity to take advantage of high margins, quick turnarounds and dedicated expertise in one of the most dynamic and profitable areas of IT," he said. "It is a clear vote of confidence in our approach that LG, and our other manufacturer partners, have chosen Actual Virtual to support them in the desktop virtualisation market."
