PNY aims to expand European channel
Storage vendor from US hires EMEA regional account management, seeks partners
US memory maker PNY Technologies is expanding its EMEA channel to include more OEM and distribution partners – a move spearheaded by new UK account manager Stephen Mander.
Mander, OEM account manager at PNY EMEA, was hired in April. He has 15 years of experience in OEM and industrial design from a tenure at specialist distributor Peak Technologies, as well as serving military, aerospace and automotive markets.
"I am confident the venture into the European OEM sector will succeed. We pride ourselves on the service and dependability which will interest renowned distributors and secure long-term partnerships," Mander (pictured) said.
Central and western Europe will be his initial focus, with the rest of EMEA incorporated over time.
PNY is seeking partners covering various segments, including healthcare, automotive, defence, gaming, transport, computation, cloud storage, and the energy industry to sell its memory, graphics, storage products and other components made in the US.
The vendor entered the retail channel, and opened a European headquarters and a manufacturing facility in France, 20 years ago.
It is "evolving its business model" to work with more partners, according to Jérôme Bélan, PNY's EMEA chief executive.
