Logicalis ups support game with workspace services push

Integrator assembles crack team to ease clients' tech headaches

Logicalis is expanding its burgeoning managed services capabilities with the launch of an end-user workspace services offering.

The integrator has put together a crack team of support specialists who will be based at its managed services centres in Nantgarw in Wales and its Slough HQ. Staff in the end-user workspace team will be charged with "acting as a single point of contact... to provide holistic support" for all the IT needs of Logicalis' customers.

The new offering has three core strands of workspace services, covering management, lifecycle, and service desk operations. The VAR claims the services will reduce the cost and management burden on clients saddled with "increasingly complex needs".

Colin Deamer, services sales director at Logicalis UK, said, "With an increasingly mobile workforce, users now need to be connected anytime, anywhere, from any device. This changing environment has put increasing pressure on the delivery of internal end-user support services, which often fail to meet expectations and satisfaction levels.

"As organisations grow, end-user workspace services can scale and be tailored to business need, ensuring the IT department is able to embrace the new disruptive technologies that are aligned to organisational goals, At the same time, the service is freeing IT resource from the burden of the support-desk environment, to focus on strategic initiatives and act as an internal service provider, as part of what Logicalis calls the service-defined enterprise."
