Exclusive Entatech deal strikes right note for Otone Audio

Distribution agreement signed for speakers, docks and soundbars

Entatech has sealed an exclusive distribution deal with Manchester manufacturer Otone Audio.

Paul Olliver, solutions, systems and displays channel manager at Entatech, said the distributor has been working to expand its retail channel but had not yet signed a "premium" audio brand.

"Otone's range fits perfectly into our portfolio, boasting modern, stylish designs with the innovation and technology our resellers and end users demand," Olliver said.

Otone makes consumer-focused audio peripherals such as docking stations and speakers. Pictured is the Soundship, a micro dock for Android phones or tablets that connects using Bluetooth.

Gareth Thomas, managing director of Otone Audio, said the manufacturer is relatively new to the scene.

"The last few years have been a great start for us, and with this new partnership, we really hope to drive our retail presence," Thomas said.

Other retail brands promoted by Entatech include TechLink, Emtec, Philips and Scosche. The distributor has also built up a retail-focused team to work with all product managers to introduce new vendors.
