Irish MSP Trilogy on hunt for second UK acquisition
Just months after buying b2Lateral, Dublin-based firm looks to acquire again
Just a few months after buying its way into the UK market, ambitious Dublin-based managed services provider Trilogy Technologies is eyeing up another acquisition on this side of the Irish Sea.
Earlier this year Trilogy bought London-headquartered virtualisation, storage, software and services outfit b2Lateral. The deal took its group turnover to the region of €10m (£8m). Trilogy was quick to unveil plans to invest £1.5m in growing its UK business over the next two years.
The Irish firm has already made good on its pledge to increase the 16-strong headcount of its new addition, with three sales heads coming on board in recent weeks. Further recruitment is planned, including the appointment of a senior sales manager.
And the firm is also planning to dip into its pocket again to help fulfil its bullish growth ambitions. Group managing director Edel Creely revealed it is beginning to look for further acquisition targets.
The ideal addition would be a company based in the south of England providing managed services to customers in sectors such as finance and professional services, she explained.
"We will be looking for a managed services provider, or possibly a company who might be more niche, in an area like security," said Creely.
