Misco cashes in on £20m Scottish public sector deal

Reseller wins four-year deal to provide country's public sector with IT peripherals

Misco has won a £20m deal to supply the Scottish public sector with a range of IT peripheral equipment.

The deal, which will last for four years, will see the reseller provide a range of network services and equipment, scanners, AV kit and installation services to the country's public sector.

Scottish ministers led the procurement but agencies including the health service, museums, local authorities and universities will benefit from the gear.

In a contract-award notice published today, the Scottish ministers were keen to stress that the Misco deal was for peripherals only and not for equipment such as laptops, tablets and servers.

Misco outbid three other suppliers to win the deal, which will be worth £20m excluding VAT over its lifetime.
