Micro-P welcomes latest bunch of graduates
Thirteen new recruits to learn the sales ropes
Exertis Micro-P has appointed 13 new recruits to its Sales Graduate Programme (SGP) in the hope they will develop into sales stars of the future.
Hundreds of university leavers applied for the distie's scheme and the 13 successful recruits were picked from a shortlist of almost 40.
The firm hopes this year's crop of graduates will build on the success of the 11 who joined its 2013 SGP – 10 of whom secured permanent positions with the distie.
Last year's bunch helped deliver new business and generate bespoke vendor activity, Micro-P said, adding that they "significantly" increased revenue and reactivated dormant accounts.
Micro-P's learning and development manager Lyndsey Rathor said graduate recruitment is a key pillar in its growth strategy.
"We see our investment in graduates as an important step towards becoming the number-one distributor in the UK," she said.
"The way in which we recruit and induct a group of graduates at one time allows us to train and develop them according to our business values and ensures that all our training is context-specific."
