Tech firms storm league table for best company culture

NetApp, Citrix and Apple pop up on Glassdoor's list of companies with best values and culture

Technology firms are among the best for company culture and values, according to new research from Glassdoor, which ranks Apple, Citrix and Adobe among the best performers.

The recruiter's Top 25 Companies for Culture and Values 2014 report ranks Twitter as the best, with a handful of channel-focused technology manufacturers also making the grade.

Google ranked in third place, closely followed in fourth and fifth place respectively by Riverbed and Facebook. US reseller CDW came thirteenth, beating Apple which popped up in fifteenth place. Citrix, Adobe and NetApp also ranked in the research, which is the first of its kind from Glassdoor.

The firm compiled the rankings based on staff reviews posted on its site over the summer.

It claims company culture is increasingly important to the workforce.

"Company culture is one of the top-five most important factors job seekers consider before accepting a new job," it said.

"Some shared themes among the top 25 include having a supportive, team-oriented atmosphere; a family-like environment and genuinely standing behind company values."
