£17.5m DWP services deal up for grabs
Suppliers sought for three-year deal to provide government department with services toolset
The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is on the hunt for a supplier to manage its IT services over the next three years.
The IT Transformation Programme contract will see the selected supplier deliver software, configuration services and licence-management kit as part of the "toolset" the DWP requires.
The deal will last for three years, with the option for two 12-month extensions, and will be worth between £3.5m and £17.5m over the period.
The DWP added that the chosen supplier must be able to handle working with an organisation of its size.
"The toolset must be capable of supporting an organisation the size and scale of the [DWP] – approximately 93,000 users and 35,000 incidents per month," it said in a recently published tender document.
"The [DWP] handles large quantities of citizens' personal data assets and has ongoing responsibility to maintain the confidentiality and integrity of that data. Therefore [we] seek a solution that can meet government and industry standards for security."
