B2M launches VAR hunt after funding boost
Motorola provides funds to allow B2M to expand into Europe
B2M Solutions is looking to add to its reseller tally as it expands into Europe following a funding boost from Motorola.
Founded in 2002, UK-based B2M provides mobile devices analytics software for enterprise customers. This allows companies to identify issues with mobile devices when they are out in the field. According to B2M, it is in a $4.5bn (£2.7bn) market that is still growing.
Its headquarters are in Oxford but last year it opened an office in Atlanta in the US, where its global sales and marketing team is based.
Newly appointed global vice president for sales and marketing, Ronald Caines, said the firm is looking to partner with VARs as it expands into Europe.
According to Caines, VARs that partner with B2M will "see margins much better than what they would be getting from their hardware".
"We can provide VARs with good, healthy double-digit margins, but we also provide them with a potential consultancy scheme that allows them to achieve instrumental margins," Caines said.
The push for partners in the UK has been helped by a recent funding boost from Motorola, which now holds a 17.8 per cent stake in the company.
Damian Penney, managing director of Peak-Ryzex, one of B2M's existing VARs, said the vendor's position as a market leader in enterprise mobility intelligence made it an "obvious partner" for his firm.
"With B2M technology we are able to pre-empt issues and provide intelligence on behalf of our customers. For example, this could include information about battery maintenance, utilisation of device, network connectivity and general disruptions," he said.
